Twitter has over 200 million users, and works in a completely different way to Facebook. You choose to follow people, and whilst you can see what they are saying, they can only see what you are saying if they follow you back. The law of averages is that of all the accounts that you follow, at least 25% will follow back.

Internet marketing is no longer about telling your target market about your products and the benefits, it’s all about providing them with information to solve their problems and overcome pain points. So when creating content, always bear in mind what the information can do for your target market. This way you are demonstrating your expertise, and at the same time building a relationship with them without even being there.

Whilst suffering the heat on London Underground last week I manage to read a copy of "Insurance Times" that someone had generously left behind. Had it not been for the Facebook and Twitter images I would have passed on this opportunity and read the copy of The Sun that was left on the chair next to it.
